There is something about a homemade dip that I love. I’m not if it is the effort the person has gone to to make it or that I am know I am in for a lovely surprise when I dip into it. This dip is both of those.
I am using D’Orsogna Premium Short Cut Rindless Bacon to add that delicious bacon flavour throughout the creamy mix. The lovely surprise you get when you dip into it is the stringy mozzarella grabbing onto the carrot stick making you just want to get it into your mouth.
A little warming, this dip is addictive and probably not good for the hips so only make it when you have a bunch of friends around to share it with otherwise you may find yourself devouring the whole thing in no time.
6 Pieces of D’Orsogna Premium Short Cut Rindless bacon, diced
125gm Light Cream Cheese
300ml Light Sour Cream
1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, grated (1/2 cup into the bowl, 1/2 cup for the top)
1 Spring Onion stalk, sliced finely
Carrot stick, broccoli branches or biscuits to serve.
LETS PUT IT ALL TOGETHER
- Place the diced D’Orsogna Premium Short Cut Rindless Bacon into a hot frypan and cook until just crunchy.
- In a bowl place all the remaining ingredients and mix well. Spoon into a oven proof dish and then top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in a preheated 200 degree celcius oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is golden on top and the dip is warmed through.
Serve with carrot sticks, broccoli or biscuits.
