Easy Honey Biscuits

Easy Honey Biscuits

These honey biscuits are super easy to make and only need five ingredients.  They are soft and chewy and have a lovely honey undertone.

Great for morning or afternoon tea with a cuppa or cold class of milk and perfect for the lunchbox.

INGREDIENTS

100gm Butter, softened
1/2 Cup Raw Sugar
1 Tbs Honey
1 Egg Yolk
1 Cup Self Raising Flour

LET’S PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

1. Using a stand mixed, hand mixer, food processor or thermo style appliance cream together the butter, sugar, honey and egg yolk until light and creamy.

2. Add the flour and mix until combined.

3. Table tablespoon sized amounts of the dough and roll into a ball.  Place onto a lined baking tray (no need to flatten, they will do this as they cook).  Repeat until all the dough is rolled.  Place into a preheated 180 degree Celsius oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden.  Once cooked remove from the oven and allow to cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled placed into an airtight container and store for up to a week.

Freezer friendly: place into an airtight, freezer safe container and freeze for up to 3 months.  You can add them straight from the freezer to the lunchbox as they will defrost by morning tea.

Makes approx 15

I made these this morning for the first time. They are so quick and easy and they taste great. The only difference from the recipe was that I doubled it 🙂

    What is raw sugar

It’s sugar that hasn’t been processed to white. You will find it with the sugar at the supermarket.
