D’Orsogna Deli Fresh Double Smoked Ham, Potato and Green Pea Pasties

We are finishing off our 10 week series of videos with these super tasty D’Orsogna Deli Fresh Double Smoked Ham, Potato and Green Pea Pasties or as Matt and I nicknamed them while we were making them – Stegosaurus Pasties as they look kinda like the spiky backed dinosaur.  My boys both love dinosaurs so these are right up there as being favourites.

While not only looking great these little pasties pack in the vegies as well as the lovely smoky flavour from the ham.  These are ideal for parties, school lunchboxes or an easy Friday night dinner. They are perfect for the freezer, so you can have a quick meal ready to go when you need them, just reheat.

Watch Matt Golinski and I cook them here for you:

Triceratops because Cera in Land Before Time was my favourite character. I imagine them as gentle vegetarians who didn’t hurt other creatures in spite of their 3 horns!

I would have to say Diplodocus – not sure why it’s the name that just popped into my head – I know it’s a herbivore and that it’s big maybe I like it cause it’d be fun to slip and slide down down it’s back 😉

T Rex – He’s the king of the dinosaurs and if I was a dinosaur he’s the one I’d want to be!

Hi Audrey, divide each pastry sheet into quarters (4) and then cut a circle from each smaller square.

The therizinosaurus! It was a massive 10m tall herbivore with these long nails like a metre long. Amazing!

My 18 month old son. He has a t-shirt that a family friend bought from the UK that says “Tobyraptor” on it. It also came with a Tobyraptor flannel and dinosaur money box. He loves it! He wears it and points to the dinosaur on the front and says “armmmmmmm” (his way of roaring).

This recipe reminds me of the homemade pasties my great nan used to make, I just loved them!
